ENGINE MOUNTS

Postby panhard » Wed Jan 03, 2018 8:12 am

About to order new engine mounts to carry as spares but rather confused when they offer a variety of mounts such as for Bill Blass - Standard Suspension - LCS or Suspension Option. My Bill Blass has been converted to coils so which mounts would I have to choose?

A Happy and Prosperous New Year to All.

Hi John, the LSC mounts are supposedly the exact same mount as in convertible Mustangs, which is a stronger part than the regular Mustang mounts. So I'd guess that the Bill Blass mounts might match the regular Mustang 302 mounts.

I suggest buying the LSC engine mounts, or ask for them for a 1988-1993 Mustang convertible 302. Either way it should be the identical parts, and will work for any 302 Mark VII. Hunt around, one may be cheaper than the other, even though it's the same thing.

Thank's Don for the good oil (advice), have gone ahead and ordered those for the LSC.

Cheers.

Sounds good John. Let us know how they work out too. I'll be replacing mine when I swap engines, and the alternative is an aftermarket urethane mount(which I plan not to buy).
