Steering wheel

The steering wheel is trashed on this 89 LSC. Do you guys know of anywhere to get replacement or aftermarket wheels?

Warning: from an unreliable memory.

I’m thinking that after previously searching the net that aftermarket wheels are a problem because of the air bag / clock spring in the wheel.

But I think I read a post to do with retrofitting a mark viii wheel, and while looking through way to much paper that I save an then can’t remember what, I found where I had printed it.

So: the search feature is your friend! (maybe)

Not to worry; no airbag restraint on the '89s.

Smooth7,
I've covered three of mine with these found at AdvancedPepZone.

I put an NOS OEM Towney, fits '90 to '94 Towney, on my '91 Mark. It is a direct bolt on including all electrical connections and the only difference is the orig. Mark wheel has perforated leather and the Towney wheel does not. I bought it from

https://www.bakersauto.com/ for $325. The wheel is perfect and came in the original Ford packaging. I believe your wheel is different from my '91 but a comparable Towney for your wheel should work.

Oldschool1, I've got a wrap and a Pep/AZ/AA/O'R/NAP cover on my '89 LSC steering wheel and it keeps the goo out. You're right; it's the best practical solution!
