THE LAST BUILT LINCOLN MARK VII ON THE ROAD TODAY

The last six characters of our VIN show the sequential production number for that model year with many production numbers beginning with 600000.

The Ford Motor Company Archives show April, 1992 as the last production month for our vehicles.

The latest produced (publically known) Lincoln Mark VII still on the road today is 1LNCM93E9NY691515

Do you have a 1992 with a HIGHER sequential number? If so, post up the VCL!

I've searched the database and found there were a few hundred Marks built after this one. Some higher VINs I find ends in 691778, built on March 5, 1992, though the VINs just in front of it were built March 18, 1992. Here is a snapshot of the above vehicle and the last four I've been able to find so far:

The real question is if any of the cars after mine are still on the road. Glad to be part of the discussion and share my car. Mine has 77k now and was special ordered. I have every single document that the car came with.

Good information but we're looking for 'the last one on the road'.

What is your source for the information above?

At the risk of making a fool of myself, ..again, …would that meant that 695860 is 4082 cars newer then say 691778? :?:

The easiest way to explain it is take my vin for example. 691515. The next number 691516 could have been a ford ranger or any other ford product

So not to beat a dead horse, but to understand the process, knowing the start production number and ending number, one could determine as years total vehicle production, more or less. But it would be impossible from the sequential number alone to determine the production of each vehicle model type, thus the model codes? :?:
