Super nice example of a red SE. According to the manufacture date and more exactly, the "L" as the 10th character of the VIN, that is a 1990 not a 1991. I did find it notable that the interior upholstery had the "pleats" I thought were only found in the 1992 years.

Ditto, I like those 92 interior door trim pieces. I wondered if it was a late 91 that Ford began using them. I'd be interested to see the underside of that car, but from the Chicago area I'm skeptical.

Hi Jerry,
The VCL above was inserted by me as an example. It's from ~my~ 1990 LSC SE.

Oh,
John, you devil! 8-)

And it went completely over my head that the door jamb color was grey and not red and the decal paint code is YU-duh!

It's cool Jerry.
You, like me, probably looked immediately at the tell tale signs of an LSC. I, went looking for a DSO.

The car may be ... special.

Speaking of special, have you ever seen a VIN sticker come off without "voiding"? My 93 Explorer did that for me when I rebuilt it in 1998. I had to replace the two left doors and QP, so I wanted to save the VIN tag. I first took a picture of it, and then I gave it a shot, and peeled it off. I placed that on the door jamb of the truck, which is now a part of my 99 Explorer. I rebuilt a 99 by using only the front clip and frame/chassis, cut the 93 apart and welded it together. The 99 VIN didn't come off, I had to settle for the picture, which I still need to resize and laminate, to install on the door jamb.

That's odd.
Ford VCLs normally crack if you even breath on them.

It is "special". I never saw an SE of any color with that kind of pinstriping. 8-)

I was hoping that it had a DSO of 84 or Home Office Reserve.

Isn't it a 92 being dated 8/91, or right at the end of 91 that it has 92 interior parts?

With a VIN of 1LNCM93E5MY792632, it is a 1991 model year.

I believe it, that's just about as late as you can get in the model year. It could also have been a dealer ordered car.
