this a joke. in 2018 the tracks around here are forcing us to run chevy crate motors. we run a ford sense early 80's. jake was mo. state champion in 1993. his son has taken over in the mid ninths. some of the ford guys run home built or speed shop built motors(called open motors.) were not allowed to run a ford crate motor as it has something to do with who makes the block. all the rules changes are not done yet.that covers our local tracks and that meaning any within 2 hour drive. we only have 2 sometimes 3 ford powered cars and 1 mopar. hopefully something will change at the meetings next year but i really don't think so.

That's sad. It sounds like they are trying to cut down on inspection times after a race, meaning they won't take much apart that way. Now I bet they have to for fairness. What years of crate engines are they wanting, older 350's?

i really don't know but it is set up that you can go to your local dealer and but a crate motor. will know more after the track has their championship dinner where they present the new rules. dave
