PPG paint and Montana Eurospeed clear

Postby 81gnta » Sat Jan 07, 2017 1:16 pm

Repainting my 90 SE this month and my paint guy is using PPG paint as I requested but Montana Eurospeed 2:1 clear instead of PPG. Says its good stuff that is easier to cut and polish. Curious if any members have used this clear and how they liked it. The car is dark titanium - PPG code 4167, Ford code YU

Just for the benefit of others, this worked out quite well and the guy I used to color sand it said he really liked working with this clear.... polished up very nicely.

Good info. These cars are worthy of a good paint job. Most of my stuff has gotten a single stage. The Mark VII, with it's flat panels, and nice details, looks amazing when attention is given to a quality finish. Mine is black, and getting a professional detail in the spring. Hopefully between a clay bar & good polish, it is revived a bit. I can see it getting paint in the next few years, and I hope to remember your advise.
