Thank you.
The seller presented an HONEST description of a "Mechanics Special" though the pictures say otherwise. Also, a RARE opportunity to purchase a Lincoln Mark VII with a Cabriolet Top. The price is doable but we need someone near 800 N. State Rd., PO Box 430 Davison, MI 48423 to test drive it.

Moving this to the FOR SALE section.

See the dealer's listing at http://www.hankgraffdavison.com/used-in ... a5e18e.htm

**Mechanic's Special! We don't know what it needs, but it sure needs something! Our loss is your gain! This IS NOT a ‘turn-key’ driver. These ‘Mechanic Specials’ are for someone who has the ability to diagnose the problem or problems and fix them. Many of these have engine problems, transmission problems, brake problems, fuel problems, electrical problems, etc… Heck, they may have all those problems and more! If you’re looking for a vehicle to drive home today, chances are THIS ISN'T IT! But, if you’re looking for a project, this might be the one. Come on in and take a look.**

I'd buy it but I'm too far away and don't have the time to travel that far. The whole thing seems a bit fishy though. Why go through so much effort to polish up a $900 dollar car?

The fire wall and strut mounts ~do~ look a bit ... interesting.

It looks nice,m but I'd bet on rust being an issue. The 10th picture shows the left door, rust along the bottom. I thought you might be posting what is wrong with it functionally. I'd want to see all of the bottom side, every body seam. I bet it's rough under there. For the price, it might be a great car to fix up another one that's worse off.

The engine bay of my '91 Titanium Frost (I think that's the same color) has that same dingy look to it so I think that's normal. I'd buy it just for a black interior and a whole slew of other parts for my '92 Greenie. It would easily double the cost though to ship it down here. I'm really not feeling a road trip from Tampa to Detroit and back, yikes!

All good points.
I'd say it was a good project/daily.
Until a Club Member drives it and reports, can we be certain.
