Beautiful car.......... Id say yes Dave go get it, but it still isn't the black on black SE you long for. Also this car looks to NOT have the moon roof option as the ORIGINAL Cosmo had. I personally have always liked the color this car is.

I like the color of the interior with this color combo better but, just curious if you have bought it yet?

Amazing. Worth a plane ticket to verify, pay the price, & ship it. If you're good with a toolset....a 15-20 hour drive is a nice way to get to know the car. I'd take a chance that it wouldn't even let you down, if it looks as good in person!!

$330 for a flight.

10+ hour drive.

Seller states that it is a collectors item and cheap. Those two things very rarely go together.

Do we have any brethren in that area that could look it over?

My biggest concern is the transmission. Speaking from experience it's not always straightforward diagnosing a bad transmission when it's just in the early stages of having trouble.

250 miles out in the boonies and the transmission goes bad. That would be a disaster.

Darn! Don and I were just in that area (me more than he), on the 14th. Wish I had known. I will check with seller for exact location and give a trip consideration for expenses. Raleigh is about 2.5 hrs or so. 8-)

That would be great! If I knew I could drive back I would very seriously consider it. Especially if one of you guys look it over!

The whole thing really hinges on how well the transmission and other major things hold up.

Even if transmission went out shortly after I got it home it would not be the end of world.

I don't mind sharing it with you folks that I lost my job a few weeks ago. Probably not a great time to buy a car! But if the car is everything that the seller advertises it to be I'm sure I could sell it easily if I had to.

I would like to have it if it is rust free, but I'm still behind on many things. The buying season just started, so I'm working about 10+ hours per day until about Christmas. I asked a young coworked if he'd go buy that for the Winter and let me buy it from him after he enjoyed it for a while. He's car rich too with no space, but he likes the Mark VII's.

My dad is gone so I don't really have an easy place to dump a car for a while. Go get that car, take care of it for a while, and let me buy it in the Spring.

Sounds like it might of sold a while ago and the seller forgot to take the listing down. I haven't been on C/L for a while but, I remember when it was on there about a month ago for $5495 on there.

I looked for about 3 years before I bought mine. There seems to still be people looking for these cars, as they don't last when priced low. Gotta strike fast I'd say. I also wonder if maybe the car speaks for itself, when someone takes the time to look a little closer. They might know little about them, then find they are worth looking after. Few would consider a 25 year old car with a V8, then they look into it more & BAM!! Gotta have it. ;)
