AND THE TRIP HOME AGAIN !
First of all the traffic heading north was stop and go, with the emphasis on stop. My GPS had me running all over to beat the traffic. Can't New Yuckers drive without causing accidents? After many many turns I ended up on CT15 north. Weeeeeee and there went the rear tire, looked like a sprint cup blow out , I will take photos.
My car and tires hate cement highways !!
On the good side, CT AAA remembered and the tow truck was there 5 min after I placed the call. :D
But I did have to drive home on the donut. Long slow drive.
No 3 1/2 hr wait this time.
Got to pull out 2 of DD's old tires and rims and put them on tomorrow. Chris is still sick and stayed home in bed. Off to the doctors tomorrow morning for her.
Otherwise, it was a great meet. :D

Man Oh Man Oh Man Tom!

It was cool hanging out with you too!

Sorry to read about Chris being sick. Good thing she has health care insurance!

Tire.
Wow.
I can dig it.
You know the tires on my 1984 are like 25 years old. I'm afraod to drive it out of the driveway! I'm glad that you had an inflated spare even if it was a donut. FOUR of my cars have FIVE wheels. Donuts are cool in a pinch but if I'm 300 miles from home like your were, I need the fifth wheel. I'm glad that you made it home Bro!

PS Did I mention that it was cool hanging out with you too? <g>

Thanks John. Well I still have DDs BBs with the winter tires on them, So Donut gets changed in the morning.
Did I mention that I had a blast with all of you. I did run into a heavy rain storm, and the gasket fixes around the windows did not leak :o
Next trip south, I will take DD. :D He hasn't had a good long trip in awhile. Oh, the speedometer reads way off with the donut. The GPS works great as a speedometer ...
Did I mention that I had a ball ??

That sounds like a fun time, and chances are Tom, you shouldn't have any more mishaps on trips. You've had more than your share of bad luck.
Don
1991 Red Special Edition, my 2nd SE, dead paint, DWS 255/45/17's on 95 Cobra wheels, and soon; DVD/Navi/backup camera, OBDII and the 347, before custom paint.
98 Mountaineer with Continental DWS 255/55/18's, big sway bars, custom brakes. Soon to be A4WD with XP8 bumpers and wing.

Tom,

It does not go with out fail when it comes to us going on our trips. Other than traffic and the baby cranky, im thankful that there was no car issues. just traffic getting to NJ was bad. but going home, got there in no time. Left NJ at around 1, and was home by 4:30pm So i made good time. must of had the traffic behind me.

Please tell Chris to get better soon! I want to see her soon! it was a great meet. Loved seeing everyone, sorry it was so short a visit!
